My time as a consultant over at Creative Artists Agency has come to an end. I was hired temporarily to oversee a beauty program at one of their acquired agencies while they vamped up a few things on their end. It was a fun experience, and I learned a lot. Prior to this, I had only seen one way of running a start-up business and I had lots of questions. Much of which were answered over at CAA. It was tough balancing work and consulting, but I’m so glad I did it. It gave me much needed insight into how to structure a company, which I’m now implementing into my own business.
Even though I only went in once a week, I’m going to miss getting dressed up to go into an office. I will not, however, miss the traffic to and from, but that’s a different story. It was nice to meet up with co-workers, have lunch with them and chat in the office. As of now, I work from home and the only chatting I do is with my three cats or clients via phone or Skype. Sometimes my partner co-works with me, but it’s not the same as being in an office building surrounded by the energy and sounds of different people.

Here is one the outfits I bought for my Mary Tyler Moore gig (wow, I just aged myself). Because nautical stripes are a must-have.
